Flower Girl

26 Aug

Hello Lovelies,

The end of summer is almost near and it is time to take full advantage of the last couple of weeks of sunshine.

I put together two outfits that screams “summer don’t leave us!”  The main focus of the outfits is the DIY floral crown I decided to make this weekend (which I should have made when summer started). But  moving forward, the crown really makes the outfits stand out and brings it all together. This look is very feminine, cute, flirty, and of course perfect towards the end of summer and the beginning….im just a little late. 😛

I hope you enjoyed these two looks I put together. Please comment and let me know what you all think and what you would wear towards the end of summer. Also don’t forget to like and follow!

Until next time…

50 Shades of Grey

4 Aug

Hello Lovelies,

This week I decided to pair blacks, greys, and whites to create this 50 shades of sexy look! To be honest, all I really needed was some simple pieces and some bold, dark makeup.

This look would be great for a night out and it can also be great during the day (I personally would just go for a simple makeup look for the day though).

Hope you enjoy this outfit! It was a ton of fun putting it together 🙂

What am I wearing?

Stripped black and white mini skirt: H&M

Grey and black muscle shirt: Forever21

Eye Shadow: Urban Decay Vice Palette

Lips: 663 VaVaViolet by Revlon, outlined and shaded the corners with black eyeliner

Earrings: diamond hoop earrings

Black Wedged Booties: Forever21 ( which you cant see but I wore them, incase anyone is wondering)

So there you have it everyone!

I hope you all like this look I put together.

Please comment and follow!

Tootles for now, talk to you lovelies next week!

Vintage Pin-up Inspired Look

28 Jul

Hello lovelies!

I know I have been MIA for almost two months now but I’m back and ready to post, post, and post!

So to start off, I went to winners about a week and a half ago to go pencil skirt hunting. Luckily I bumped into this beautiful lace/crochet, navy blue, below the knee pencil shirt. I was a tad bit worried about the length of the skirt, because I thought it would make me look shorter, but after trying it on I fell in love with it instantly. To tell you the truth the length of the skirt was actually very appealing to me. It reminded me of the 40s and up era. Thus, my inspiration for this look I put together is based on a vintage pinup look.

Reserved and classy yet sexy at the same time… 😉

**********************

I had a lot of fun putting this look together and a lot of fun shooting it as well. I hope you all enjoyed this post!

Let me know what you all think by leaving a comment and for those of you who are not following me; please follow me if you like what you see!

I WILL SEE YOU GUYS LATER ALLIGATORS!!

Neutral Dress with Some Edge!

20 Jun

Hello my lovelies,

So today my post will be on a neutral based look that has a dressy, and edgy side to it. I really had fun putting this together and I definitely would wear this outfit on a night out or on an occasion that is not too casual.

So with that being said, here is the look and I hope you all like it! 🙂

*****************************

For this outfit I paired a beige tank dress with a beige and black leather jacket. For shoes I kept the same color scheme but the snake skin detailing really made the shoes pop out and allowed the outfit to really come together nicely. Finally for accessories I wore some big round patterned studs again with similar colors and some big round sun glasses (WHICH I LOVE!).

******************************

So there you have it everyone! I hope you all enjoyed this short but pretty awesome post-I would like to think 😛 .

Please let me know what you all think by commenting; whether you like this outfit or not I still want to know 🙂

And I also made another blog on Photography…so if you all can check that out it would be much appreciated, just click on this link PicturePerfectPerfectionist

And last but not least don’t forget to follow if you have not yet.

OOTD: CAMOUFLAGE PRINTS

16 Jun

Hello Everyone,

It has been a while since I last posted, so here is a quick previous outfit of the day. I wore this sometime last week when the sun was shining with no intrusion of rain; so it really was a good day. I decided to wear an army green camouflage muscle shirt which I cut a bit of the length off as well as the arms, and paired it with my cropped distressed denim jacket, some plain black leggings which I rolled up, and finally some plain black velvet flats. It truly was one of the most comfortable outfits I wore. I loved it 🙂

I hope you all lovelies like this outfit I casually put together…let me know what you think; so feel free to comment and don’t forget to follow!

UNTIL NEXT TIME

Floral Prints on Men

29 May

Hello my lovelies,

Today I will be doing things differently to spice things up a bit. I have to admit I am getting pretty bored of myself doing all of these outfit of the day posts. Thus, I will be combining my recent interests and passions to create todays post.

Lately I have been very amused with photography and photo-editing and all that comes with that. After investing in a camera, I thought to myself- wouldn’t it be cool if I did fashion photography? HELL YEAH! So after I decided to try that out, I asked one of my friends to volunteer to be my model for the day and he said yes; and I was ecstatic!

So the day finally arrived, the weather was absolutely delightful, and we were off to harbour front for my first outdoor shoot!

Everyone……..meet my handsome, charming, and wonderful friend Ramon.

He definitely has an eye for fashion and knows that floral prints does not always have to be worn by females.

Floral prints are definitely a hit for this summers trend for females and males; and for all those fellas out there who think I’m crazy, check him out!

P.S: DONT YOU JUST LOVE HIS HAIR! 😮

During the shoot he convinced me to get a picture taken and I finally gave in. So if any of you wonderful readers are curious to know what I wore on that specific day here is your answer 🙂

****************************************************************

I hope you all enjoyed this post; it is a little different than my previous posts. But different is good and we should all strive to be different in any way possible!

OOTD: MAXI CHIC

22 May

Hello my wonderful readers,

It has been quite some time since my last post, and I do apologize; sometimes life just gets the best of us and puts too many fruits in the basket for us to carry. But I have finally gotten some time to put this post together, and I hope you all enjoy!

So basically right now in Toronto the weather is very hormonal; very much like me… one minute its raining and the next its all smiles and sunshine. And in all honesty, when it rains I like to dress very comfortable, and very covered; I don’t know why but it just puts me in a bum-ish mood. But that did not discourage me from wearing a cute outfit today! NO SIR, IT DID NOT! I put on my invisible yet glamorous and fabulous thinking cap on and instantly an image of a maxi skirt popped in my head. But…not just any kind of maxi skirt… a body-con maxi skirt; always adds that sexiness to an outfit!

I decided to go with neutral colors; but to make it not so boring I mixed two different patterns together which I think turned out awesome. This outfit was also extremely comfortable which I needed due to the 5 minute weather change routine this city was having. But with that said, take a look for yourself and hopefully you gain some ideas for your own outfit!

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

OOTD: grey body-con maxi skirt, black and white stripped tank, navy blue and white diamond patterned cardigan, and a skinny black belt with a silver buckle, finished the look off with some black flats and a black clutch with silver detailing.

Let me know what you lovely readers and bloggers think about this outfit by commenting; and if you like my outfits feel free to follow and subscribe. I will try my best to keep my posts consistent.

OOTD: COLOURED BOTTOMS!

24 Apr

Hello everyone,

This will be a quick post on yesterdays out of the day and todays as well.

So I was trying to figure out if any of the two outfits had anything in common; because the first outfit is more on the dressy side, and the second one is more on the casual side and then BAM!- it hit me, I am wearing coloured bottoms in both outfits. So if any of you lovely readers need ideas/inspiration on how to pair coloured bottoms I hope these two outfits will help you out.

*************************************************

OOTD #1:

So after finishing work I thought it would be fun to stroll around in an empty mall taking random pictures….and yes…it was surprisingly more fun than I thought it would be 🙂

In this outfit I paired bright purple dress pants from Forever21 with a navy blue tank, and my favourite printed blazer from Costa Blanca, and finished the look off with some black flats.

OOTD #2:

This is a casual look but I absolutely LOVE it! And I am also in LOVE with stripes right now and will be wearing a ton of it this spring and summer!

In this outfit I paired some forest green high-waist pants from H&M, with a long-sleeve, low back striped shirt from Forever21, added a skinny black belt, and finally finished the look off with some nude flats.

*****************************************************************

I hope you all are pleased with these outfits and I would love your feedback, and if you are not pleased with these outfits then I would still love your feedback 🙂

Me, Myself, and I

19 Apr

So I woke up today feeling pretty lousy- not only because of the gloomy weather, but mainly because of the damn monthly cycle we women have to face. That was not the surprise I wanted this morning….winning the lottery would have been much better…

So I noticed that I have not been posting as often, and I am definitely not in the mood to pose up and take pictures of myself wearing different outfits. So that leaves me to rant about any topic that comes to mind. Thus, todays topic will be about…drum roll please……

Confidence in Image and Finding Yourself

Confidence was something that I struggled with a lot growing up. I was always the shortest out of everyone, and I was not too happy with the features on my face and body. I mean, I always loved dressing up ever since elementary school; but the problem was that I was doing all of it to please others and to feel accepted. I was actually very insecure of my image at a very young age; I would constantly pick at my flaws and put myself down for them. What all that picking really did was feed and help my insecurities grow; and clothes and makeup just became a cover up to give the illusion that I was actually confident but in reality I was not even close. One thing I have learned from past experiences is that when my insecurities kept growing I became more and more vulnerable to a point where I was allowing people to walk all over me and take advantage. I would have to say though, that looking back now I am so grateful for those experiences because it really shook something inside of me when I had had enough, and all of a sudden I began to see the world in a different perspective. Pleasing others became a thing of the past and pleasing myself became my focus, and that is when my confidence started to bloom into a wonderful flower it is today. I started to love my image and different attributes of myself; I never thought standing in front of a mirror would bring such joy and happiness. So now when I dress up and put on makeup, it is because I enjoy putting outfits together, it is like artwork for me- a form of expression. 🙂

I feel that after I gained confidence in my image I was able to find a piece of myself and a piece of who I really am. It is something everyone struggles with in their lifetime, whether you call it soul searching, finding yourself, finding your purpose, your calling…..it all starts with confidence and being able to accept yourself. Although image is a big one, there are still so many aspects in my life where I need to strengthen my confidence in. For example, one can be confident in their image but lack confidence in their speech or work ethic, or doubt themselves constantly even though they have so much potential to do great things.

I believe that once you start gaining confidence in different aspects of your life such as: image, career, relationships, etc. you begin to find yourself and a deeper meaning of who you are and what happiness means to you.

We all have our different stories of struggle, but at the end of the day no one can lift you out of your own pit but yourself. So put on your sneakers and start climbing!

OOTD: HAREM HAREM HAREM!!!

9 Apr

Welcome everyone! Today I will be doing a quick post on two outfits I wore to work today and yesterday. The main focus of my outfits will be the harem pants- which you guys probably knew considering the title is screaming HAREM! But moving on… I really LOVE… I mean really LOVE harem pants- and I’m not only saying that because it originated from my culture (India/Bangladesh) which I think is super cool by the way. But the truth is that harem pants are extremely comfortable. They honestly feel like you are literally wearing thin air! It’s amazing, especially when Mother Nature sneaks in out of nowhere, and you just want to be in bed all day because you feel disgusting, bloated, and in pain. During those times of distress ladies, harem pants will do you wonders! Not only are they loose enough to hide your bloated self, but also comfortable enough to make you feel like you are in your PJ’s usually sobbing in your bed begging Mother Nature to be nice to you. Although no one would really know the sobbing bit, because you would look amazing and trendy rocking those HAREMS! 🙂

So I give to you my two harem OOTD looks!

Sticks and Stones Can Break My Bones, But Cross Shirts Will Never Fail Me.

1 Apr

At the moment I own about two cross shirts, and one is just about long enough to be transformed into a dress- and yes, I love to take full advantage of my shortness- GO TEAM MEATBALL! In my opinion, cross shirts are a must have for this spring and summer. Although I only have two, I do plan on purchasing a couple more for multiple reasons. One being that you can totally wear them on your lazy days with a pair of denim jeans, or shorts and look fashionable without even trying; I have done it too many times to keep count. I usually go for cross shirts that are not form fitting at all and oversized, because that allows me to experiment and create different looks with the same shirt.

So in this post, I will be showing you lovely readers two great looks with these two great cross shirts. I hope you like them! 🙂

Turn Casual into Classy and Dressy!

29 Mar

The weather is getting warmer by the day which means there will be more outdoor activities and events to attend to. Whether it be shopping with the ladies, dinner with the boyfriend, or girls night out, it can be a great hassle rushing home after a long day to change your entire look into a more dressier one.

In this post I will be showing you how to turn casual looks into dressy looks by just adding ONE ITEM- A BLAZER! (or anything that falls under that category). It totally is an item that can be kept with you throughout the day; so going home to change would not be necessary. You just have to pop that bad boy on when your ready, and you are good to go. But what is even better about these outfits are the fact that no heavy dramatic jewelry is needed; maybe some studs but that would be about all. The prints and detailing are enough to dress you up!

These outfits are hassle-free and I would recommend them to all the ladies out there who are always on their feet running from one activity to the next! 🙂

Printed Blazers

By adding a printed blazer, the feel of the entire outfit changes and becomes more suitable for a night out.

Coloured Blazers

I think this casual outfit is perfect for a brunch or lunch date, which later on can be transformed into a late night stroll with your boyfriend.

Collarless Tweed Jackets

This casual outfit is perfect for shopping with the ladies which can easily be changed to a girls night out with this cute chain detailed tweed jacket.

I hope this post was useful to some of you folks, if not all 🙂

Let me know what you guys think of these outfits, and what one item you would add to dress up a casual look!

OOTD: YELLOW, BLUE, AND PINK PASTELS

26 Mar

The weather was absolutely gorgeous today! I mean it could’ve been a little bit warmer, but considering how cruel Mother Nature has been with us for the past week in Toronto, I think we have finally gotten on Her good side! So to celebrate, I thought I would spring-up my outfit today by pairing yellow, blue, and pink pastels together. I really love how these specific three colours compliment each other and give off a soothing sensual feel that is also fun.

Here is a brief description of my outfit: paired a yellow sleeveless top with a white peter pan collar, and cinched my waist with a white belt, followed with some light blue coloured denim, and a pair of cute pink jewelled flats. And since it was still a little chilly I wore a black and beige leather jacket and a beige infinity scarf.

Let me know what you all think of this outfit and what pastel colours you’re going to pair this spring! 🙂

“BE BOLD & STAND OUT!”

24 Mar

Boldness is something we all need to give us that glowing confidence. Whether it be through our personalities, or maybe the way we flaunt that miraculously stunning outfit we were able to put together this morning. Either way, it will definitely help us set and achieve goals we are passionate about. But I must say, it can be quite a fickle trying to step out of that comfort zone and standout. Thus, I bring to you a piece of my closet to help those who have trapped themselves in their comfortable little boxes.

I hope these outfits will inspire many to create their own bold looks!

“BE BOLD & ADD STRIPES”

Not only will stripes be in this spring, but heads will be turning your way when you add simple pieces like these to your outfit!

“BLACK & BOLD”

An all black look has always been and will further continue to be a classic BOLD look for anytime of the year. 🙂

Marriage Isn’t For You

5 Nov

Seth Adam Smith

Having been married only a year and a half, I’ve recently come to the conclusion that marriage isn’t for me.

Now before you start making assumptions, keep reading.

I met my wife in high school when we were 15 years old. We were friends for ten years until…until we decided no longer wanted to be just friends. 🙂 I strongly recommend that best friends fall in love. Good times will be had by all.

Nevertheless, falling in love with my best friend did not prevent me from having certain fears and anxieties about getting married. The nearer Kim and I approached the decision to marry, the more I was filled with a paralyzing fear. Was I ready? Was I making the right choice? Was Kim the right person to marry? Would she make me happy?

Then, one fateful night, I shared these thoughts and concerns with my dad.

Perhaps each…
