24 Apr

Hello everyone,

This will be a quick post on yesterdays out of the day and todays as well.

So I was trying to figure out if any of the two outfits had anything in common; because the first outfit is more on the dressy side, and the second one is more on the casual side and then BAM!- it hit me, I am wearing coloured bottoms in both outfits. So if any of you lovely readers need ideas/inspiration on how to pair coloured bottoms I hope these two outfits will help you out.

OOTD #1:

So after finishing work I thought it would be fun to stroll around in an empty mall taking random pictures….and yes…it was surprisingly more fun than I thought it would be 🙂

In this outfit I paired bright purple dress pants from Forever21 with a navy blue tank, and my favourite printed blazer from Costa Blanca, and finished the look off with some black flats.

OOTD #2:

This is a casual look but I absolutely LOVE it! And I am also in LOVE with stripes right now and will be wearing a ton of it this spring and summer!

In this outfit I paired some forest green high-waist pants from H&M, with a long-sleeve, low back striped shirt from Forever21, added a skinny black belt, and finally finished the look off with some nude flats.

I hope you all are pleased with these outfits and I would love your feedback, and if you are not pleased with these outfits then I would still love your feedback 🙂

Me, Myself, and I

19 Apr

So I woke up today feeling pretty lousy- not only because of the gloomy weather, but mainly because of the damn monthly cycle we women have to face. That was not the surprise I wanted this morning….winning the lottery would have been much better…

So I noticed that I have not been posting as often, and I am definitely not in the mood to pose up and take pictures of myself wearing different outfits. So that leaves me to rant about any topic that comes to mind. Thus, todays topic will be about…drum roll please……

Confidence in Image and Finding Yourself

Confidence was something that I struggled with a lot growing up. I was always the shortest out of everyone, and I was not too happy with the features on my face and body. I mean, I always loved dressing up ever since elementary school; but the problem was that I was doing all of it to please others and to feel accepted. I was actually very insecure of my image at a very young age; I would constantly pick at my flaws and put myself down for them. What all that picking really did was feed and help my insecurities grow; and clothes and makeup just became a cover up to give the illusion that I was actually confident but in reality I was not even close. One thing I have learned from past experiences is that when my insecurities kept growing I became more and more vulnerable to a point where I was allowing people to walk all over me and take advantage. I would have to say though, that looking back now I am so grateful for those experiences because it really shook something inside of me when I had had enough, and all of a sudden I began to see the world in a different perspective. Pleasing others became a thing of the past and pleasing myself became my focus, and that is when my confidence started to bloom into a wonderful flower it is today. I started to love my image and different attributes of myself; I never thought standing in front of a mirror would bring such joy and happiness. So now when I dress up and put on makeup, it is because I enjoy putting outfits together, it is like artwork for me- a form of expression. 🙂

I feel that after I gained confidence in my image I was able to find a piece of myself and a piece of who I really am. It is something everyone struggles with in their lifetime, whether you call it soul searching, finding yourself, finding your purpose, your calling… all starts with confidence and being able to accept yourself. Although image is a big one, there are still so many aspects in my life where I need to strengthen my confidence in. For example, one can be confident in their image but lack confidence in their speech or work ethic, or doubt themselves constantly even though they have so much potential to do great things.

I believe that once you start gaining confidence in different aspects of your life such as: image, career, relationships, etc. you begin to find yourself and a deeper meaning of who you are and what happiness means to you.

We all have our different stories of struggle, but at the end of the day no one can lift you out of your own pit but yourself. So put on your sneakers and start climbing!

Welcome everyone! Today I will be doing a quick post on two outfits I wore to work today and yesterday. The main focus of my outfits will be the harem pants- which you guys probably knew considering the title is screaming HAREM! But moving on… I really LOVE… I mean really LOVE harem pants- and I’m not only saying that because it originated from my culture (India/Bangladesh) which I think is super cool by the way. But the truth is that harem pants are extremely comfortable. They honestly feel like you are literally wearing thin air! It’s amazing, especially when Mother Nature sneaks in out of nowhere, and you just want to be in bed all day because you feel disgusting, bloated, and in pain. During those times of distress ladies, harem pants will do you wonders! Not only are they loose enough to hide your bloated self, but also comfortable enough to make you feel like you are in your PJ’s usually sobbing in your bed begging Mother Nature to be nice to you. Although no one would really know the sobbing bit, because you would look amazing and trendy rocking those HAREMS! 🙂

So I give to you my two harem OOTD looks!

I hope you all like these two harem looks. Let me know what you all think, and check out my previous posts!

Sticks and Stones Can Break My Bones, But Cross Shirts Will Never Fail Me.

1 Apr

At the moment I own about two cross shirts, and one is just about long enough to be transformed into a dress- and yes, I love to take full advantage of my shortness- GO TEAM MEATBALL! In my opinion, cross shirts are a must have for this spring and summer. Although I only have two, I do plan on purchasing a couple more for multiple reasons. One being that you can totally wear them on your lazy days with a pair of denim jeans, or shorts and look fashionable without even trying; I have done it too many times to keep count. I usually go for cross shirts that are not form fitting at all and oversized, because that allows me to experiment and create different looks with the same shirt.

So in this post, I will be showing you lovely readers two great looks with these two great cross shirts. I hope you like them! 🙂

Please comment, like, and follow me on my blog, and since your already here check out my previous posts!
